Who am I?

I am a healthcare copywriter with over 15 years’ experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising. You can read more about my experience here.

I graduated with an honours degree in genetics from the University of Aberdeen and set about trying to find a career than merged the two things I was good at – writing essays and science!

I work remotely from the north east of Scotland because 5 years ago, my husband and I decided we’d had enough of London, packed commuter trains, massive mortgages and all the stress of city life. We decided we wanted to buy a croft on Orkney. Or Shetland. Just anywhere that was the opposite of London. Thankfully we realised we knew nothing about crofting, so opted to move home to the north east of Scotland instead. After working at various London agencies for the previous 10 years, it made sense to become a freelance healthcare copywriter.

So I’m not a crofter but I am hard working.

I’m not based in London, but I do still like to visit.

I’m also a mother, a runner, an orienteer, a maker of lists, a storyteller and happy.

Buying a croft is no longer on my to-do list.
